Open Jar Studios is not only used for theatre rehearsals, classes and auditions, but it is also home of business training by the country's foremost speaking and communication experts, Vital Voice Training. Their work ranges from crafting (and perfecting) TEDx or SXSW talks, training how to pitch a company for funding, nailing interviews or negotiations and more.

The treatment of interior surfaces play an important role in acoustical design, particularly for studios designed for singers. The ceilings and walls should provide favorable reflections to reinforce the sound, and yet too much reverberation is undesirable, particularly for opera singers. The design at Open Jar Studios includes a specific attention to these details to retain an excellent acoustic within the studios with a mixture of reflective flat surfaces mixed with carefully designed acoustic panels.

While there were many issues facing New York, it was clear that we needed to change the narrative and bring back joy, to give us hope and energy to tackle the difficult problems and days ahead.
So many of you answered the call and stepped in. We started with pop-ups, producing a total of 14 across the five boroughs, gathered love letters to NYC and developed an ad campaign to remind us all of why New York was alive and kicking. And we didn’t stop there.
