Sharpen your audition and performance skills by working directly with the people behind the table in this three-class series. Workshop your audition, the acting of the song, and gain insight on what they are looking for in each audition.

**Casting Directors Listed In Order of Appearance**
Class will meet each week for 3 hours, each with a different Casting Director. Each student will work one-on-one with the casting director on cuts of multiple songs in a classroom setting. Each class with also include a short Q&A, information on the intricacies of the casting process for that office and insight on what the auditioner can do to stand out.

Course cost: $340. Class participants strictly limited to 18 students
Under the direction of Artistic Director, Jeff Whiting, Open Jar’s Professional Class Series provides unique opportunities for performers to continue to hone their skills and work one-on-one with Broadway’s best stars, directors, composers, agents, and casting directors.

Michael Cassara, CSA is a Casting Director and Educator in New York City, where he and his team have cast over 600 theatre and film projects since the formation of Michael Cassara Casting in 2003. Recent credits include Mr. Holland's Opus (Ogunquit Playhouse, world premiere, dir. BD Wong), An American In Paris (international tour, dir. Christopher Wheeldon), The Mad Ones (Prospect Theater Company, dir. Stephen Brackett), Cheek To Cheek (York Theatre, dir. Randy Skinner), Spamilton (NYC/Chicago/Pittsburgh CLO/tour), Americano! (off-Broadway/Artios nomination for casting), A Night With Janis Joplin (National Tour), Gigantic (dir. Scott Schwartz/Vineyard Theatre), Forbidden Broadway (last three editions/cast albums), Caroline, or Change (Tantrum Theater, dir. Robert Barry Fleming). Regional credits include frequent productions for top regional theatres including Gulfshore Playhouse, Argyle Theatre, Hangar Theatre, Asolo Repertory Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The Old Globe, Denver Center, Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, American Theater Group, and more. Film: The Hyperglot (dir. Michael Urie, Artios nomination for excellence in casting), Grantham & Rose (dir. Kristin Hanggi). Resident Casting Director for the New York Musical Festival (NYMF) from 2007 through 2019, and for the National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) since 2013. As an educator, he regularly teaches at many of the nation's top universities and training programs, including Baldwin Wallace University, The Boston Conservatory, Indiana University, NYU, Texas State, and many others. Bob Cline has cast film, TV, commercials, over 70 national tours, and hundreds of regional theatre productions across the country. Bob's casting credits include: The National Tours of Memphis, Shrek, Young Frankenstein, Beauty and the Beast, Oliver, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Hairspray, Rent, Drowsy Chaperone, Full Monty, Cabaret, Complete Works of William Shakespeare, 39 Steps, Music Man, Oklahoma, Showboat, Victor-Victoria, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and others. Regionally, Bob has had his hands in casting shows at over 30 LORT Theaters, including, The Fulton Theatre, Maltz-Jupiter Theatre, Northern Stage, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, St. Louis Repertory Theatre, The Longwharf, The Pioneer Theatre Company, The Olney, Merrimack Rep., Cumberland County Playhouse, Theatre By The Sea, Arkansas Rep., The Marriott Lincolnshire, and many more. Bob had the pleasure of directing Betty Buckley, Tuc Watkuns, Christy Carlson Romano, Martha Plimpton, Jason Kravits, and Elaine Stritch in Ben Andron's White's Lies both at the Jerry Orbach Theatre in NYC and Off-Broadway at New World Stages.
